Hi. My name is Martin. I am an experienced tour guide living and working in the beautiful northwest of Ireland. I have spent many years working as a nationwide tour guide showing people around the island. I have a love of history, the great outdoors and traditional Irish music and dance.
A professional tour guide since 2015 and an avid global traveler since I was a teen, I have a lifetime in tour planning experience. While working as a tour guide for Ireland’s favorited private tour operator for over 6 years, I have learned what it takes to offer a truly luxurious private chauffeur tour which is tailor-made for individual guests, taking them off the beaten path for a unique and authentically Irish experience.
A native of County Mayo, but now living with my wife and two kids in the breathtaking County Donegal, I am passionate about showing the scenic highlights of the north and west of Ireland to visitors. I offer both minivan tours around the northern half of Ireland and catering for up to 7 people, plus hillwalking tours in County Donegal - Ireland's best kept secret when it comes to outdoor adventure activities.
I love to travel and learn about different cultures. Over the years, I have lived in; Krakow, Poland, Lake George, NY USA, Xiamen, China, and Nan Province, Thailand, along with travelling extensively in Canada, Mexico, all around Europe and South East Asia. I consider myself a lifelong learner and have a degree in both Fine Art and Psychotherapy. Aside from this, I enjoy kayaking, cycling, gardening and wild camping in Ireland's most stunning locations. I am also involved in native woodland regeneration and a rewilding project in County Donegal.
I am a member of ITGA (Independent Tour Guides Association) and I am passionate about maintaining the heritage and culture of my homeland.
